About the Position

ADDCWES is seeking a dynamic and accomplished researcher to serve as the Research Engineer/Scientific Officer. The selected candidate will play a key role in advancing cutting-edge research in water and environmental studies while supporting the Centre Director in various strategic and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Pursue own research in line with the centre's research focus on water security and environmental sustainability
• Assist the Centre Director in planning and execution of the centre's research activities
• Coordinate with faculty members associated with ADDCWES in developing research proposals
• Cultivate partnerships with academic, government, and industry stakeholders
• Oversee grant acquisition, budgeting, and financial reporting for research projects
• Promote a culture of research excellence and innovation within the Centre
• Plan and conduct professional training programmes and related academic activities
• Initiate projects towards societal good and community engagement addressing local, national, and global water and environmental challenges
• Involvement in professional consultancy with associated faculty members
• Undertake any other activities aligned with the objectives of the Centre

Essential Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering/Science or equivalent degree with good academic record
• Demonstrated experience in research and development in relevant fields

Desirable Qualifications

• Post-doctoral research experience

ADDCWES is seeking a dynamic and accomplished research professional to serve as a Technical Assistant. The selected candidate will support the Centre's research activities and contribute to advancing the Centre's mission in water and environmental studies.

• Assist in planning and execution of the centre's research activities
• Coordinate with faculty members in developing research proposals
• Promote a culture of research excellence and innovation
• Assist in planning and conducting professional training programmes
• Support initiatives towards societal engagement addressing water and environmental challenges
• Assist with professional consultancy with associated faculty members
• Undertake other activities aligned with the Centre's objectives

Essential Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering/Science from a reputed institute
• Research exposure in domains related to water and environment

Desirable Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering/Science
• Experience in translational research (Lab to Field applications)
• Good communication skills in English and vernacular languages
• Networking and team-building capabilities
• Experience in water resources management, environmental impact assessment, or related fields
