NIT Durgapur Project Technical Support-III Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology or an allied area with at least 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
• Essential Qualification: Candidates should have a NET/GATE qualification.
• Desirable Qualification: Prior experience in peptide synthesis and/or development of peptide-based biomaterials will be given preference.

Salary / Stipend

• Fellowship will be Rs. 28,000/- + 20% HRA = Rs. 33,600/- per month.
• Fellowship is available for a period of 1 year.
• Fellowship is extendable up to approximately three years subject to funding and satisfactory performance.

Selection Process

• A walk-in interview will be conducted for the selection of one Project Technical Support-III under an ICMR-funded research project at the Department of Biotechnology, NIT Durgapur.

• The position is purely contractual and is for the duration of the project only.
• Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in the institute.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Candidates will not be entertained after the said interview slot; in case of any exigency, the decision of the selection committee will be final and binding on the candidates.
• Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
