Educational Qualification

For medical candidates, a Post Graduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) or equivalent in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute is required as provided under the Residency Scheme.

• Candidates with MD in Hospital Administration, or a full-time Master's in Hospital Administration after MBBS, or DNB in Hospital Administration may apply for Senior Resident in Hospital Administration.
• Candidates with MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine or Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion may apply for Senior Resident in Transfusion Medicine.
• Candidates with MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Anesthesiology, General Medicine or Pediatrics may apply for Senior Resident in Trauma & Emergency Medicine.
• DM/MCh/DNB or equivalent in the respective discipline is required for applicable super-specialty departments.
• For Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank, MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine or Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion is specified.
• For Dentistry, the required qualification is MDS.

Non-Medical Qualification

For the subjects of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Biostatistics, the notification also specifies the post of Senior Demonstrator. Candidates should possess an M.Sc./M.Biotech/M.Stat. degree in the concerned subject and PhD in the concerned or allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.

Age Limit

The maximum age for Senior Resident is 45 years as on the date of publication of the notification on the AIIMS Kalyani website. The notification does not specify a minimum age.
