IBPS CSA XVI Vacancy Details 2026

The notification provides indicative State/UT-wise and category-wise vacancies. The aggregate of the State/UT total figures in Annexure-I is 11,403 posts. Actual provisional allotment will depend on the vacancies finally reported by participating banks.

Important: Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only. The vacancy figures are indicative and may change according to the actual vacancies reported by the participating banks.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS CSA XVI Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The final result must have been declared on or before 21 August 2026.

Local Language Requirement

Candidates applying for a particular State/UT must be proficient in the specified/opted local language of that State/UT, including reading, writing, speaking and understanding. The applicable languages are given in the notification's Annexure III.

Computer Literacy

Working knowledge of computer systems is mandatory. Candidates should have a certificate, diploma or degree in computer operations/language, or should have studied Computer/Information Technology as a subject at High School, College or Institute level.

Age Limit (As on 01 August 2026)

For the basic age condition, candidates must be at least 20 years and not more than 28 years old as on 01 August 2026, i.e. born not earlier than 02 August 1998 and not later than 01 August 2006.

IBPS CSA Salary Structure 2026

The Customer Service Associate post carries the following basic pay scale:

Selection Process for IBPS CSA XVI 2026

1. Online Preliminary Examination
2. Shortlisting for Online Main Examination
3. Online Main Examination
4. Provisional allotment to a participating bank on merit-cum-preference basis, subject to actual vacancies
5. Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT), which is qualifying in nature and conducted after Main/Provisional Allotment but before joining
6. Joining and document verification by the allotted participating bank

The final merit listing is based on marks obtained in the Online Main Examination. The participating bank handles the appointment, joining formalities and related verification after allotment.

Medium of Examination

The medium varies by State/UT. Depending on the applied State/UT, the notification provides English and Hindi along with specified regional languages such as Telugu, Assamese, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Bengali and others. Candidates must carefully select the applicable test version in the online application.

Negative Marking

For both Preliminary and Main objective tests, 0.25 mark (one-fourth of the marks assigned to the question) is deducted for each wrong answer. No penalty is applied to an unanswered question.

The notification does not provide topic-wise syllabus details in the recruitment notice. Detailed examination information is to be provided through the Information Handout made available with the call letters.

Registration and Examination Fee

Online payment is available from 01 August 2026 to 21 August 2026. Applicable bank transaction charges are payable by the candidate.

Pre-Examination Training (PET)

Pre-Examination Training is tentatively scheduled for September 2026. The detailed arrangements and applicable instructions will be communicated by IBPS through its official website and related recruitment communications.

How to Apply for IBPS CSA XVI Recruitment 2026?

1. Visit the official IBPS website at ibps.in.
2. Open the CRP CSA section and select the online application for CRP Customer Service Associates (CRP-CSA-XVI).
3. Choose New Registration and enter the required basic details.
4. Note the provisional registration number and password generated by the system.
5. Complete the application carefully and select the State/UT for provisional allotment as required.
6. Upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration and other documents specified in the notification.
7. Pay the applicable application fee online.
8. Submit the application, verify the details and retain the system-generated application form and e-receipt for future reference.

The application is accepted only through the online mode. Candidates should keep their registered mobile number and email ID active throughout the recruitment process.
