Eligibility Criteria for NIPER Kolkata Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

Associate Professor (T-01): Ph.D. with first-class or equivalent grade in the relevant branch, a strong academic record, and at least 8 years of Teaching/Research/Industrial experience with quality published work and recognised contributions in Pharmaceutical and allied areas. A postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis and hands-on expertise in techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS-MS, and GC-MS are desirable. Candidates on deputation should be Faculty Members from Central/State Universities or Government Institutions holding an analogous post, or with 5 years of regular service as Assistant Professor.

Assistant Registrar (NT-01): Master's degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute, with 8 years of relevant supervisory experience, including at least 5 years at the level immediately below (Section Officer/Administrative Officer, Pay Level 8) in a Central/State University, Research Institution, or recognized autonomous body.

Receptionist-cum-Telephone Operator (NT-02): Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute, with 3 years of relevant experience in Central/State Government organizations, PSUs, universities, or research institutes, along with good communication skills.

Junior Technical Assistant (NT-03): Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science subjects; knowledge of computers is desirable.

Age Limit

Maximum age is reckoned as on the last date of online application (17 August 2026): 45 years for Associate Professor, 40 years for Assistant Registrar, 35 years for Receptionist-cum-Telephone Operator, and 27 years for Junior Technical Assistant. Age relaxation of 3 years applies for OBC (NCL) candidates and 5 years for SC candidates against reserved posts, as per Government of India rules.

NIPER Kolkata Salary Structure 2026

Selected candidates will be placed in the applicable Pay Level of the 7th Central Pay Commission (Level-4 to Level-13, depending on the post), along with usual Central Government allowances.

Selection Process for NIPER Kolkata Recruitment 2026

Teaching Post (T-01):

Non-Teaching Posts (NT-01 to NT-03):

1. Written Test
2. Skill Test / Interview (for candidates shortlisted from the written test)
