Eligibility Criteria for IIEST Shibpur Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

Research Fellow: M.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science/Information Technology, or BE/B.Tech/M.Sc with a qualification in a national eligibility test such as CSIR-UGC NET or GATE, as applicable under Government norms. Preference will be given to candidates with an M.Tech specialization in AIML/Data Science, experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Python, medical image analysis, and Explainable AI, and at least 65% marks in Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

Laboratory Assistant: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related discipline as applicable under Government norms. A B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology and at least 55% marks in the Bachelor's degree are desirable, along with the ability to assist in maintaining project records, data collection and management, laboratory equipment/software handling, and documentation.

Age Limit

Maximum age for both posts is 35 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, Women, and Physically Handicapped candidates.
