Eligibility Criteria for ISRO Scientist/Engineer SC Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have the relevant BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10. The accepted disciplines are Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. Graduation must be completed within the stipulated duration of the course prescribed by the University.
Age Limit
Maximum age: 28 years as on 16 September 2026. Serving Central Government civilian employees, Ex-servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India orders.
PwBD Eligibility
For reservation, the relevant disability must be at least 40%. The notification identifies PwBD categories A to E and specifies eligible ISRO centres for the identified vacancies. Backlog PwBD vacancies may be filled by interchange among the five disability categories; if no suitable PwBD candidate is available, the post may be filled by a person other than a person with disability.
CGPA / Percentage Rules
- If both CGPA and percentage are shown, at least one must meet DOS/ISRO eligibility norms.
- If only CGPA is shown, the CGPA itself must meet the criterion; conversion of CGPA into percentage is not permitted for eligibility.
- For dual/integrated degrees, the applicable graduation-level or final consolidated CGPA/percentage is considered according to the rules in the notification.

Selection Process for ISRO Scientist/Engineer SC Recruitment 2026
- Written Test / CBT: Eligible candidates appear for the written examination.
- Screening: Candidates are screened for interview as per ICRB criteria.
- Interview: Screened-in candidates attend the interview and must produce original documents.
- Final Selection: Appointment is subject to fulfillment of eligibility and recruitment requirements.
- Travel: No TA is paid for the written test. Candidates attending interview are eligible for reimbursement of second-class train fare by the shortest route from the city indicated in the online application to the interview place, subject to notification conditions.
Scheme of Examination and Syllabus – ISRO Recruitment 2026
The Written Test/CBT is 90 minutes and contains 80 multiple-choice questions in Part A, the area/discipline-specific section, carrying 80 marks. Marking is +1 for each correct answer, 0 for an unattempted question and -1/3 for each wrong answer. The written test/CBT is scheduled at notified venues, subject to ICRB's right to change or re-allot venues. Registration and Examination Fee – ISRO Recruitment 2026
The application fee is ₹250 per post, non-refundable. Initially, all candidates are required to pay ₹750 per application as processing fee. The processing fee is refundable to eligible candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT, subject to the notification conditions. Payment is accepted online through the Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway. Service charges are borne by the applicant.
