Age Limit
- Manager: Maximum 32 years as on 07 September 2026.
- Junior Executive: Maximum 27 years as on 07 September 2026.
- Upper-age relaxation applies as prescribed for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD, Ex-servicemen and eligible AAI employees.
Other Eligibility Conditions
Only Indian Nationals who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can apply. The required qualification must have been completed by the cut-off date. Professional Law degrees must be recognized by the Bar Council of India. Eligible Open/Distance mode degrees are considered where applicable.
AAI Salary Structure 2026

In addition to basic pay, eligible employees receive Dearness Allowance, Perks at 35% of basic pay, HRA and other benefits including CPF, gratuity, social security schemes and medical benefits as per AAI rules.
Selection Process for AAI Recruitment 2026
- Computer Based Test (Objective Type) for all posts. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
- Application Verification / Subsequent Tests, as applicable.
- Interview for Post Codes 1 to 11.
- Manager (Fire Services) candidates must qualify Physical Measurement Test, Driving Test and Physical Endurance Test before interview.
- Final/provisional selection is based on CBT and interview performance where applicable, subject to eligibility, document verification, medical and other prescribed requirements.
Scheme of Examination and Syllabus
The recruitment uses an objective-type Computer Based Test for all advertised posts. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. The post-wise syllabus is published by AAI under Advertisement No. 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT. For Fire Services, additional physical and driving tests apply after application verification.
Registration and Examination Fee
The application fee is ₹1,000 (inclusive of GST), payable online only. SC, ST, PwBD, Women candidates and AAI Apprentices who have successfully completed one year of Apprenticeship Training are exempted from payment of the fee. Online payment may be made using debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards or mobile wallets; applicable bank transaction charges are borne by the candidate.
