Eligibility Criteria for NTPC Deputy Manager Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

• Deputy Manager (Electrical): B.E./B.Tech Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
• Deputy Manager (Mechanical): B.E./B.Tech Degree in Mechanical/Production with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.
• Deputy Manager (C&I): B.E./B.Tech Degree in Electronics/Control & Instrumentation/Instrumentation with at least 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution.

Experience Requirement

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification executive experience (including training/trainee period, if any) in the power sector (Coal, Gas, Lignite) in Operation/ Maintenance/ Commissioning/ Erection/ Engineering/ Energy Efficiency/Project Management/Field Quality or a combination thereof in the relevant discipline. Candidates currently working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the pay scale of Rs. 60,000–1,80,000 or above (IDA pay scale of E3 grade or above of NTPC effective from 01.01.2017) or an equivalent scale, and must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for all posts is 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman candidates.

NTPC Deputy Manager Salary Structure 2026

Selected candidates will be recruited at the E4 Grade under the IDA pay scale of Rs. 70,000 – Rs. 2,00,000, along with allowances and benefits applicable to NTPC executives.

Selection Process for NTPC Deputy Manager Recruitment 2026
